Our keynote speaker, GCU president Brian Mueller is an education game-changer raising aspirations and empowering students. He has transformed GCU and the surrounding communities by thinking "outside the box" and finding ways to benefit and educate many students. He will provide useful information for parents of all types of learners.
The Get After It Breakfast will also be a day of celebration and thanksgiving for a successful Saints Fund campaign. If the current momentum continues, we will exceed our goal of raising $250,000 by Sept. 28.
"Get After it" was the saying used by Coach Scot Bemis who started the Notre Dame Preparatory football program and led his teams to consecutive Class 4A Division II State titles in 2007 and 2008. He also coached NDP's girls' soccer team, leading them to numerous victories, including the 2009 State Championship. Outside of the sports arena, Bemis was a beloved teacher who was as committed to motivating his students to learn as he was inspiring his athletes to win. Bemis was a man of great faith, of great devotion to his family and of great friendship. He will forever be remembered for his leadership, character and compassion, as well as for his sense of humor.
Get After It, Saints!
