Tri-M Music Honors Society Benefit Concert Is a Success

The Tri-M Music Honors Society, a club at Notre Dame made up of student performers and scholars, held a Benefit Concert at on March 22, 2018 to help Rosie's House, an after school program in Phoenix that aims to provide music lessons and instruments to underprivileged youth.

The concert raised more than $2,000.

"We appreciate everyone who helped make this concert a success!" said Tri-M co-president Josh Babu.

The benefit concert featured many acts from NDP's music programs including Babu with Ben Nemivant and Reily Bettis, Eddie Eberly, Hannah Marshall, guitar orchestra, Skylar Brown and many more talented students.

A little about Rosie's House: "Our mission is to give the underserved youth of greater Phoenix the gift of music education by providing instruments and free instruction. Through music we encourage discipline, offer hope and help students reach their full potential. We aspire to provide and be recognized as a high-quality music education program, while maintaining our position of open access to children living in economically disadvantaged communities. We are committed to creating the next generation of life-long learners and lovers of music that are creative, innovative, and productive members of society."

A raffle was held for a custom-made acoustic guitar. The winner of the raffle was junior Enrique Wycklendt.
