Principal Jerry Zander takes a moment to thank Foster Friess.
Notre Dame Preparatory High School welcomes Foster Friess, founder of The National Christian Foundation to the NDP SAINTS GIVING CIRCLE.
At the annual NDP breakfast, Mr. Friess generously recommended that his foundation donates $50,000 to assist in the school's fundraising efforts. Moved by the testimony of our students and NDP's focus on teaching moral values and life-long Christian service, Mr. Friess graciously agreed to help us further our mission.
"This feels really good," said Mr. Friess.
Typically The National Christian Foundation provides funding for freshwater projects in Malawi and medical services to the poorest regions of the United States, but they made an exception for NDP.
"We are honored that Foster attended our annual breakfast," said NDP Director of Advancement Lyric Naquin. "He was able to witness firsthand stories from our terrific students and from our supportive community. We are so blessed he chose to donate to our school in support of Christ-centered education."
The motto of the foundation is taken from a quote attributed to St. Christopher, "It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness," and Mr. Friess feels "grateful for the candles you light with your life and your efforts," he said in a letter to our school.
