Radium Girls, a drama based on a true story, was written by D.W. Gregory. The action takes place between 1918 and 1928, and shines a light on the commercialization of science and the fight for safety in the workplace. Radium was thought to be a miracle cure for cancer, Madame Curie was an international success, and the U.S Radium Corporation was cashing in making luminous watches. Over time, however, the girls who painted the watch dials with radium-laced paint began to die. This is the story of their battle for justice.

This is an ideal show for middle school history and science students.

Students interested in tech crew should contact Mrs. Wilson.
