Summa Cum Laude

Course Study
Notre Dame Preparatory proudly offers two special four-year accelerated academic programs called the Summa Cum Laude and the Honors Program.

These programs will accommodate gifted and advanced students by offering courses that challenge and reward them.  Realizing that school should provide individualized education for the whole person, and knowing that certain talented students require more than the ordinary curriculum and co-curricular activities can provide, Notre  Dame offers these accelerated honors courses of study.  These four-year programs will help the most gifted college-bound individuals prepare for a successful college career.

- Summa and Honors students must contribute services to the community which utilize the intellectual, cultural, and spiritual gifts each student develops while in the program.

- Honors Focus Research is required of all Summa and Honors students.  It will count towards their elective requirement and as one of their honors courses

Foreign Language Notes:
-  Summa Cum Laude and Honors students must complete four years of the same foreign language to fulfill the course requirements for a Summa or Honors diploma.
-  A student taking a 2nd foreign language may use these credits towards elective requirements.
