Assets are placed in trust by an agreement between the donor, Notre Dame Preparatory, and a trustee. During the term of the trust, Notre Dame receives the income. At the end of the trust, the assets revert to the designee.
Benefits
- Any appreciation to the trust principle is free of gift and estate tax.
- You may be eligible for a substantial income tax deduction or you may be able to reduce the estate tax on passage of your assets to loved ones.
Control
You get to keep the asset you place into trust and still help Notre Dame with an income stream during the term of the trust.
