Dear Notre Dame Parents:
I cannot think of a better way to start a new school
year than with an exciting announcement about what
the future holds for Notre Dame. As we begin our eighth
year of providing an exceptional academic and spiritual
environment for our students, we also are working
to ensure that NDP will always be able to provide
a relevant, high-quality education that prepares our
students for college, for work, and for life.
I am elated to inform you that Notre Dame is in the
early stages of implementing an expansion program
that, over time, will significantly increase the size
of the campus and allow the school to offer a wider
range of academic, athletic, and performing arts programs
and facilities. Beginning with state of the art science
labs and classroom facilities, and then on to a new
fine arts auditorium and football stadium, the NDP
Campus Design Project represents our enduring commitment
to fully utilize every opportunity to provide an outstanding
high school experience.
At this early stage of a lengthy development process,
much work remains to be done. However, good news spreads
quickly and it is important to me that our current
NDP families are the first to hear about plans that
will eventually double the amount of square footage
under roof at the school and provide a home for 1,200
students.
The attached FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) page
and the proposed school site plan describe the project
in detail. We will continue to update our Notre Dame
community on the status of the project in future communications
including the weekly Mind, Body and Soul email and
the Notre Dame News and Vision newsletters.
We should all feel truly blessed that this unique
opportunity has presented itself and I welcome your
enthusiasm and support of this new chapter in the
evolution of Notre Dame Preparatory.
Sincerely,
David D. Gonsalves
Principal
