of Champions
A crowded and noisy NDP
gymnasium was the sight of the annual
NDP Booster Club Night of Champions
last Monday night. On this special night,
the NDP Booster Club and staff, parents,
and sport fans feted another great year
for NDP sports. Over 75 student athletes
were honored Monday night including:
- JD Ardell and Kaitlyn Nowicki-
NDP top scholar athletes for the
class of 2009
- The 2008-09 individual sport MVPs
as selected by their peers and coaches
- The 2008-09 team and individual
state champions from seven sports
teams and several individual champions
- 31 seniors from the class of 2009
graduating next week and playing
collegiate athletics next year including
12 football players and 6 baseball
players. Schools include U of A,
NAU, Stanford, Penn, Northwestern,
Brown and many others.
The evening was capped
off by our guest motivational speaker,
Seth Joyner, former NFL all-pro linebacker
for the Eagles and Cardinals. Seth spoke
to the audience of over 250 guests and
student about effort and attitude and
achieving success through perseverance
and hard work. Seth was a perfect cap
to a great year of Booster Club speakers
including Joe Garagiola, Dan Bickley
and many others.
The Booster Club is already
at work preparing for the Falls Sports
Festival and Purple and Golf scrimmage
coming up on Friday, August 21st. Keep
